Topline Cranks and Cinder Cones.

Ok, so I've tracked down appropriately coloured TopLine cranks for my two Cinder Cones - thanks to an unlucky eBay seller (SLS Complete with rings for £43!!) and a far more sensibly priced set from Jez :). However, when I tried to fit them I discovered that the offset of the crank body in relatoin to the inner ring is totally different to the stock Sugino units. Basically there's barely enough clearance for the middle chainring, let alone the granny-ring :(:(

Is it as simple as buying a B/B with a longer spindle?

If this is indeed the case....

:?: Has anyone fitted TopLines to '93/'94 Cinder Cones and can therfore suggest the correct length?
:?: Are there any particular B/Bs people would recommend over and above the the Shimano UN51 that they have currently?

Thanks as always
Will

hi
the size you need is a 68 shell 127 axle - its hard to find a un72/3 with that length, might be easiest to put another un52/3 in there til you find something more tasty? :)

Agreed.
They will require a minimum of 127mm BB.
You may be able to get a cheap second hand Ti one, as it's not a common size.

I think St Johns cycles had some of these in stock. I needed one for my Cooks cranks and I'm sure I got it from there.
