Thanks for the info, so it is definitely a RetroBike. Maybe just not a particularly desirable one.

Desire is subjective

And from what ive seen there were different made Townsends, i think this is one of the better ones so if you like it and are going to use it then all is good

Quite. A friend of mine had one of these when I was younger. Compared to my Townsend Mankota this was something of a revelation...

That would have been 1993, but what are the date codes on the shimano componetry as that will help date it?
