Ok so my bike feels a little stout when standing up climbing. A bit too much like im over the front too much and 'feeling backwards' for the bars.
Havnt tried new stem etc. and i dont mind the frame size 14''. Just wondering how much difference the next size up would make. It would be 16'' and 20mm extra on the top tube.
Would i notice it?

Doubt it, I don't realyl notice the 5cm difference from my marin to the proflex.
I can feel it but only for a very short while after changing bikes.

try adjusting the position of the bars

i think everyone has their own definitive bike geometry

im more the stand over ballroom type

Emmm approx 5'10''.

I much prefer a smaller frame but just wondering if the 20mm extra top tube on the 16'' will make all that much difference.

Why not try a frame that actually fits you?
A 14" frame will be nicely chuckable, really BMXy, but must climb and descend like a pig? Lengthening the top tube, and hence the wheelbase, will allow you more space to move around and get your weight where it's most needed.

What frame is the 14".
My 15.5" nailtrail has a 22" top tube, the same as a large XPX proflex.
My small 857 has a 20.5" top tube so I gues a different make/model frame might suit you better.
I'm 5'6" and prefer the marin and way too big for me XPX to the 857.
I'll have to use a long stem (130+) to get it the 857 comfortable as the XPX frame give me too tall a stand over to use effectively.

I like chuckable. Its my playbike so used for urban dh, dh, go everywhere but im not sure how well its going to climb.

Id only be looking to trade the small one for a bigeer one with someone.
