Folks,

Looking for a pair of the little cable stop adaptor / ferrule thingummies that allow you to fit a cable rear brake onto frame with slots designed for hydraulic discs, such as those supplied on late 2000s Rockhoppers and others. Similar to this:

As I type this (I don't have the frame to hand) I'm now wondering could I just run my cable straight through from the lever to the v-brake :?:

Any tips? Anything that doesn't involve cable ties is appreciated

Cheers in advance.

You can run a full outer without a problem. contemplating doing the same on my sts, though o would need to drill the frame as the routing is internal. Not sure I fancy doing that though.

Re:

Small world department....I've been looking for some of these for top tube on my Stumpjumper. Running straight through outers, which is fine and has some advantages, except that the cable rattles against the top tube.

OP caused me to search more diligently - in case you ain't found them, Jagwire part CHA056 looks to be the thing, but I've yet to find any in UK!

Yeah I did think it might rattle about and occasionally get a bit loopy as the guides are not such a tight fit as those designed for cables, maybe a bit of tape or rubber wrap to thicken where they sit in the guides though that's a bit bodgy.

Thanks for the part no Old Dave
