46 and a day older and no wiser!!!

2 queries regarding tools.

1. Does anyone know what EXACT tools i need for fitting/removal of a Dura Ace 7400 bottom bracket

2. Any pointers to ball bearing gauges - cheapish please

bb s just the old pin spanner /lock ring type.so any good quality ones would do

Would you happen to have a link? I looked at Park spanners but there are 3 sizes of pin spanner.

It states - Tools Needed - Spanner, Locknut Wrench and Fixed Cup Wrench

I have some of these but as i want no damage at all to any part of it i want to use the EXACT tools.

Pin spanner (they come in different shapes and sizes make sure you buy the correct size

Another version of pin spanner

Lockring spanner

A 6 pin removal tool would cost more than the price of the bike and very rare :shock:

I have the red pin spanner. The lockring spanner I have is not the right curve for this BB - this is where i am confused.

Oval BB cup spanner something like this, again check it's the correct size

Alternatively an open ended spanner of the correct size would work perfectly with a little care

I have used a large spanner for these before but i do not what to use it on this particular BB - hence the original query.

How do i work out the right size for the oval spanner?
