...................Bordeaux....a smattering of 2001 which were all okay, then we moved onto three bottles bought at auction. No labels and varying degrees of ullage, the worse being the last.
Excitement grew as the corks (with Chateau and Vintage revealed) were drawn.
1st cork was very wet, high level and required very delicate handling...the wine was 1975 Leoville-Barton...very good, still showing well after all these years.
2nd wine was 1976 Haut-Brion and sadly fecked....not cork taint but something else...but it still somehow displayed its fine heritage through the fault.
The last wine was simply fantastic..changed and evolved in the glass...an ethereal experience. What was it?
