Today's good news story from me....

Can you explain that a bit more? Is this different to a normal steel structure of I-beams and columns?

Yeah, like Highlandsflyer says, it's referred to as airframe basically, hollow galvanised steel box-sections jigged and welded to a 5mm tolerance in 15m of length, with vertical riba and horizontal support braces. It's basically a pre-fabbed room or two, thrown onto the back of an arctic and send to site, for speedy installation into the building.

Other sections of the factory fabricate RSJ's and other types of skeletal steelwork for buiildings too.

It is a cheap way of making buildings.

That is way cool, are you going to be able to get some contacts in the steel industry that might be useful, nudge, nudge, wink, wink...

I already have plenty of contacts in all manner of areas of differing metal industries and relevant associated trades...

Also, the company I'm due to start work for has a branch north of the border, probably not too far from you... 8)

Cheers guys.

The company produces steel skeletal framework for industrial and commercial buildings. Including warehouses and towerblocks, etc.

and EdEdwards's bikes ?

You're right, it does sound boring , but then all mine did till I actually did them and they turn out interesting and fun most of the time :)
