To paint or not to paint??

So...I have this Viking and want to restore it....thing is it has scratches,surface rust and the decals are peeling off it. So, do you think a re-spray is worth it?

Note: that you can't see any of the scratches,surface rust and the decals are peeling off it but they are there!

Any ideas what colour schemes to go for too? Maybe lugs rawed and polished etc..??

admittedly you can have a closer look, but it looks nice and it's all original!

I'd have it painted.These bikes were good quality of build but the paint was usually poor. It's not as if they are particularly rare or worth a great deal. As for raw lugs, they'll rust in trice,you have probably seen chrome plated lugs which is possible but very expensive. I'll be repainting my Raleigh Record Ace soon and designing my own colour scheme.

I'd leave it if I were you, you have to ask yourself if it's worth the time and money!

I think your frame has potential to develop some patina
