Tough decision to make but I'm having to let a couple go to make room and raise some funds. Very rare fillet brazed 531 frameset by TJ Quick. Slight distortion to back of seat tube behind clamp, due to over tightening maybe (shown in last photo). No cracks or issues with the post going up and down. More info to follow but measures at around 18" from memory, takes a 27.2mm post.......£160 plus postage

Re:

My dad (who I think was Tom Quick's bank manager at the time, futher along the South Circ by Brockley Rise) and I used to press our noses up against the glass of Tom's shop in the mid-eighties. (I'm only a mile or so away from there now, but that parade of shops has now been converted into flats  ) I always hoped dad would surprise me by getting me measured up for a frame when we went inside, but instead all the tight old git would do would be to wax lyrical about his time racing at Dulwich Park on his Gillott in the 50s, as he shot the breeze with Tom!

Although this frame is very tempting from an emotional pov, I'd probably go and ruin its purity by forcing 700c wheels and Campag road Centaur bits n bobs on it, and using it as my retro road trainer / 'crosser.
