Im with the chap who asked the question, flexible, maybe...but like a foil blade is flexible. I am not sure I want to ride anywhere with a large kitchen knife between my legs.

i've never seen a degraded crud catcher and if he is an engineer he must surely realise that it poses more of a risk than the plastic version :?
