Tim Gould's ex race bike?

Even as a standard Roberts frame with a fillet brazed fork that is worth £250, add on a full XT group, another £50, add on a set of Mavic M6 wheels another £50. Now add on the fact that this could be a bike that Tim Gould, one of the best XC MTBers britain ever produced, rode to championship titles on, then this is still cheap!

Imagine if this was a bike that Tomac or Overend rode to a national championship on, those americans would be paying thousands!!

absolute bargain - I would have paid £600 for that if it was my size, seriously.

Agreed, I put £475  as I thought it was cheap, way too small for my lanky build

Realistically priced I think... Its not that the 'Gould' bike is cheap, its that alot of the bikes generally for sale are overpriced.

£475 for Goulds old race bike or £445 for an old Kona. I'll pay the extra £30.

Well I set my price and stuck to it. I didn't think anyone would want to pay more than 465, but there you go, outbid at the last.

Congrats to the winner, I'm sure that's someone on here.

I'd been doing some research comparing old race pics of the peugeot team bikes. They were running curved bladed forks in 89 so I'd guess it's a 90 ish.

As above, price doesn't sound high at all and, as Ed, I'd have gone higher if it had been my size - what price true provenance?

TGs bike

Id say maybe an old training bike used by Gouldy in 89 or 90 but not his 1992 race bike as im sure his team bike was black with orange lettering.
