Tickets, wan*ers & ebay

Saw The Verve a few times, last being the final show - homecoming gig in Wigan in '97 sometime. Was pretty stoked to hear they were doing a couple of shows this year cos money was obviously getting tight. Three towns - Blackpool, Glasgie and Lond. Wasn't too arsed bout which gig I went to as have mates in all three places so a bed wasn't a problem - but quite fancied the Blackpool one as it's a good venue.

So, I pre-registered for tickets. Got an email saying I'd be able to buy tickets a day before general release at 9 on a wed or something.

Ten past nine I was on and they had ALL sold out.

I knew this was going to happen but it still pisses me off when I look on ebay and see them now going for a couple hundred quid.

I hate the way people see a chance to make a quick buck and abuse the system like that. Really bloody erks me.

There's loads for sale, and loads in the completed sales. I can understand a few people may have had to change plans, but the shows aren't till november some time and obvioulsy it's just loads of wankers who've bought all the tickets to bloody flog.

Hate people who make a living off ebay. Bloody scabs. Go an work for a living you lazy shits.

Rant over.
Feel a bit better now - but not much.

Aaaarrghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Calm down, I know you're upset. I whish I could help, if I knew I would have bought on extra for you instead of ebay.

I can imagine that some people don't buy them for the show/artist, but to make some money. That is indeed bad. Maybe they should come up with something against that.

I know exactly how you feel, i was after tickets for that gig too. I was over the moon when i heard they had reunited, and am now left with the prospect of forking out silly money if i want to see them again.

Like a named person on the ticket a la plane ticket; would cause problems at the door of big gigs I suppose

It is a pain when this happens, a mate of mine had the same thing happen to him recently.. Had to shell out on Ebay for tickets for his wife's birthday present as they sold out online in minutes..

Rant perfectly acceptable

I tell them at work its good to have rant  . They just look at and
Don't hold it in just let it out  Then you feel better for it
