Hi, I’ve registered on this forum in the hope of getting an idea of price for my late brothers bike, It’s a Romany Orbit size wise it measures about 21” for seat stem length, as you can see it’s missing a back wheel.

Would It be better if I buy a new set of rims and then sell it just sell as is?

I’m not knowledgeable really regarding bikes, I’d happy seek in its current condition if anyone is interested, I just want a fair price as I know he spent a pretty penny on it originally

Orbit is the manufacturer, Romany is the model name. And 853 is premium tubing

21" is usually a small bike, but looking at the head tube, it looks fairly big. I'm therefore assuming it's a frame that slopes upwards towards the front. If I'm correct I'd say the 21" is a bit of a misnomer (this isn't a fault on your part - the describing of size for sloping frames is a puzzle for experts). The way to correctly state the size is to imagine the top tube as horizontal and then measure where this imaginary top tube intersects the seat pillar and measure this point to the centre of the bottom bracket. This is what is colloquially known as virtual sizing. It may also help stating how tall your bro was to give an idea

The bad news unfortunately is prices and demand for used bikes are at rock bottom, so be patient or be prepared to almost give it away. Saying that , you may just hit that one buyer who wants it. Re the missing wheel - if you can get something very cheap, then do, but don't spend new or next-to-new money as you will never recover the cost
