i just downloaded it...i know naughty naughty but i was surprised that 86 was only 4 episodes and i assume 88 is another 4 episode thing.


It's a lot better than i expected, it's quite faithful to the film 88, doesn't seem as good so far but i'll definitely have to acquire it on dvd when it comes out. Its one of those things that i think you'd have to watch a few times before you get all the goodness out of it.

88 is only 3 episodes, I have to say they de valued the film a little for me.
I did watch dead mans shoes last night and that was quite good.

Just finished watching it. Wasn't as grim as '86 thank god! Still gritty though.

It had an authentic late 80's feel to it... took me back a couple of decades.

BTW isn't Shane Meadows making a warts an all film about Tom Simpson?

I thought 88 was grimmer than 86 just in a different way, I wouldn't want to ruin it for anyone so i won't say anything...but i found 88 more depressing.

The main thing that ruined it for me was the fact i've seen misfits so everytime woody cracks a joke i just can't help seeing his character as the guy from misfits.
