To flip side of the dislike thread is the love thread.
Hers a list of things I just love - from a purely engineering perspective...
Marzocchi Bombers built between 1996 and 2001 - beautifully engineered, lovely paint, great performance and almost indestructible.
Ringle skewers - nicely made, good colours and feel good to doing up even if their performance isn't that great
Machine Tech brakes - nice to look at and work ok too
Ti frames - understated bling
XTR (all types) - just works they way a group should
dics brakes - cause sometimes you need to stop in a hurry, and you don't wear out nice rims
Early to mid 90s Konas - they just look right and ride pretty good too.
Turner frames - my riding and trails have evolved and so have my bikes
etc
etc
So what bikes/parts do you have an irrational love of?
Edit: Actually some of those above could be considered quite rational (or maybe thats just justification on my part) so I'll ad the following:
Kooka Rainbow Cranks - very pretty but doubt I'll ever use them on a bike.
Girvin forks - I don't like the way they ride but still like them
Manitou frames - very fragile but bling nevertheless
Annodising - colour it blue, red or purple and even the crappest part becomes desirable.
Grandmothers Note: If you can't say something nice post in the dislike thread
