If you don't like bumps then ride a road bike. bumps are what riding off road is all about

Suspension is just not needed unless you have a engine.

IMHO

TT - I appreciate that this is retrobike but your views are archaic. Do yourself a favour and test ride a modern FS bike, I'd thoroughly recommend a Yeti ASRc or Orange 5 - and then come back to us and tell us your Trimbles are faster up or down hill. That said you'd get lost on South Downs on anything!

Come to Brechfa for 10 a.m. tomorrow and I will take my mask off - will be on the ST4 again - loved it today.

That could be worth getting up at 5am for.

I'm going to side with Tintin ( now that's something you don't hear every day ). Yes Kev, the full susser might be quicker but it ain't as much fun as getting shaken to bits on a well dialed hardtail. Its like a Focus WRC against a Mk2 Escort- one is faster but the other leaves you grinning like a moron for days after.

I've tried modern suser and retro suser. Both the same shit just different paint.
A bike is only as fast as the rider.
