My brother in law had his 98 Explosif stolen from his front garden just over a week ago  literally popped into his house for 20 seconds to get something and when he came out there was a crappy full suspension bike in the road and no sign of his bike

We live in a small village so he's been telling everyone to look out for it, it now turns out a neighbour of his found it in his skip the day after it went missing and didn't put two and two together :?

They said they didn't think it was his bike :? but the best bit is  when he saw it in their back garden and went in to ask about it they got all shirty with him and asked him if he was sure it was his as they wanted it for their daughter

He's got it back now with both wheels knackered and a dent in the top tube so he's waiting to see what the insurance company are going to come up with :?

I can't believe they nicked it, just to ride it down the road, jump on the wheels and throw it in a skip

pretty much sums up the mentality of most of the current teenage generation.hope the insurance comes good :)

lordy lord, what a t0sser.. someone nicked my bro's racer once and did the same thing - cycled it about 50 yards then gave it a kicking
at least he got it back mate

Uh, police then insurance surely. If you don't contact the police the insurance company aren't going to give you the time of day.

I mean, do you believe this 'found it in a skip' line?

get a brown paper bag....

settle down in private with the bag and deposit a nice steaming t**d in the bag...

put it on the neighbours front doorstep, set fire to the bag and ring the doorbell before running away......

....watch from safe distance....

And yes, I know its childish!

Sorry  should have said police were involved from the start  I was pleasantly suprised how seriously they took it

They came and finger printed the crappy bike that was left, but the bit that suprised me was, they cut the grips off and bagged them as he reckons they've caught a lot of bike thieves from the dna they've left on the grips

Sad one that.
But don't leave near pubs. People leave the pub can't be bothered to walk home will nick bikes/cars just to get home. Then dump it.
Glad i don't leave a pub any more :D

You must have got them on a good day. Or a new boy. Normally they can't be bothered
