No you are non football orientated normal.

Plus it means that we'll get back to a semi normal semblance of life.

Not really into er... soccer, and Its not as big over here as europe etc... not against it at all, but not for me (prefer to AFL).
Now I understand why big companies that sponsor etc use it for advertising, but at the moment we seem to get a zilion adds that soemhow relate to the WC, like yesterday there was an add for a local floor tiling place havine a world cup tile sale... WTF not sure these guys had heard of the WC before, but now we get a sale... why not just have a sale baaaa

Actually I have just realised that if we go out before the quarter finals that we will never hear the end of it.
The autopsy will be run in the media for the next year.
Then there is a year of run up and choosing a new manager before the european cup.

Bloody football.

I'm running out of things to download and watch while there is chuff all else on telly..
What with the dirge of ball kicking, now BB '10

If my eldest was more responsible/trustworthy I'd be leaving her babysitting and naffing off out for evening rides with the missus.....

Errm guys....

You've successfully turned the "no world cup zone" thread into a "very world cup zone" thread. What's going on? I'd have thought the idea of this thread would be to at least try to escape it.... All you're doing is talking about it.

Plan failed

PS- I went out and had a nice quiet meal with my wife last night. It was great :)

Stick leg started it!

There are pros and cons of England getting through vs the inevitable next draw and getting booted out (see how i worked the pun in!)

 Sorry, I've just been using this thread to hide in and bitch about the 'others' who are so mesmerised by the sight of 22 men in shorts badly kicking a plastic ball around.

I wonder if there are retro footballers, who meet up out of season at 5 a side pitches in 60's leather boots with a brown ball and play for 45 mins before naffing off to the pub.

I quite like the idea of that. In retro strips and haircuts too. :D
