It's retro, steel and easily upgraded, nothing wrong with these bikes. OK, heavy!
I had and run a bianchi thomisus myself and it was as capable as the rider. I can always recommend upgrading the chainset on these(usually 200gs) beyond that they work well enough.
Despite poor reviews and general bad mouthing, they are a notch or two above the activator and suchlike. I've done many 20+ miles and NOT died or suffered ir-repairable bodily damage.
So, not state of the art neither death trap. enjoy it anyway.
