I drive a private hire taxi in a small market town and 99.9% of the time its pretty ok, good money and the people are ok.

1am - pick up two women with their take-away, I remind them that you're not allowed to eat in the car.

One woman doesnt eat while the other scoffs away. Ok...

I remind them again not to eat 'yeah, whatever'

Anyway, it comes to paying, the eating lady gets out of the car while her friend gives me a £5 note...

'Did I give you a £10 or a £5?'

'A £5, its still in my hand' as I uncrumple a sorry looking but crisp £5 note and give her her £1 change.

Her friend butts in straight away, from outside of the car 'you gave him a £10 I saw you'

'No, here is the £5 that she gave me, it wasnt £10'

'You thievin' basterd that was a ten, you **** basterd'

etc etc

She rings the office and complains, whilst all the time calling me names while her friend who actually paid for the journey just sits quietly in the back.

While talking to the office manager, she says 'I wont let you talk to him on my phone in case he nicks it'

I'm standing there a bit dumb struck thinking what the, who the, where...????

Its 1.10am, dark, badly lit drive - how on earth can someone argue white is black from outside a car, I dont know.

Her friend then decided that she gave me a ten despite her original £5 still in my hand THE WHOLE ******* TIME!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

I would never deliberately short change anybody. Its pissed me off.

 poor you.

if me. I would have stopped and told them to get out unless she stops eating. right couple of chavs

Last week it was a former school friend of the taxi firm's owner (who started in 1979 with 2 cars and is now a millionaire)

He started banging on about taxi drivers and how the owners a ****, I'm a **** , it got so bad, I asked him to get out in the middle of busy traffic. Thing was, his wife and friends were in the back just having a normal conversation... :?

I have an emergency button if it gets too bad.

your job sounds like mine, perfect, were it not for the general public

Poor form, calling someone a thief is quite low, i don't know what i would do in that situation, probably ask the other girl to get out before you call the police and drive off. So what happened in the end?
