is it just me or is it a general phenomenon here in recent times?

Surely the retro bikes also have to be ridden, but is it really the crux of this forum? :?

For me, there is a place for all bikes here on RB. I have pristine 'garage queen' bikes, and I have clean bikes with a patina. All are ridden, but some are ridden carefully. A scruffy bike is a scruffy bike.

I just can't understand why some people get so worked up about it??

If people want a bike as art, fine by me! it's their *CHOICE*.
