Very nice build!
Great choice of parts.
Not a big fan of the stem, but the yellow is balanced.

Lovely.

Do you mind if I enquire who coated your Middleburns?

Hi mate.
The cranks were done by my brother in law, they were done as a test to see how they came out.
It's the same coating put on high quality cooking pans, so if they ever fail as cranks I can at least cook with them :-)

Niall.

Re:

Had a great summer's early eve ride at the weekend, some things I have discovered....

1) the ringle seat post qr is crap, will be replacing with Allen bolt style.

2) it accelerates like a kicked cat!

3). I hate the noise a stone makes bouncing off the downtube When flicked off the front wheel!

:-)

Re: The Manitou HT ..Update SHE RIDES!!!

I've revisited this thread, and the finished pictures, a couple of times.
First time I saw the yellow and thought, nah dont like that yellow, but on about the third viewing its growing on me. Not a colour you'd see on one of my bikes but it just about works once you've gotten used to it and the forks were that colour bitd so fairies nuts. 8)

Its not like I can really make comment considering my Yankee Funk.

:P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

So, well done mate and the best bit about the bike is ITS BEING RIDDEN!

Completely understand the fear of flying rocks on these tubes! Cracking fun Gromit!

Re:

Not that I rode it much..But your quite right ping ping noise on gravel.

At first you think that must chip. But no!. The anodising is as hard as rocks on these.

I love the troy stickers on it & the Rig design..glad you kept them 8)

Thanks for the great words matey :)

I was the same about the yellow, im not 100% on a kore stem on this bike, as I think it deserves a better make/name to be honest, but not many in judy yellow I can find.

I have changed the stem for a slightly longer and 0deg rise one now, and its a much better ride, this is the only pic I have at the mo.......

Oh and your yankee is the nuts! 8) 8) 8)

You are right Nic, I was worried about it chipping, but I recon the anno must be thicker than the tubes themselves
