Hi Guys,

you know what like about this site?
It is connecting so many different people from all over the world,..with all different back grounds but all with the same passion,...really special it is.

What i especially like is that there are so many people with a "healthy or not, Obsession" for a brand or type in special;
The orange collector; Breezers, Pace's, Kleins, you name it,...
So many people with a whole collection of the same brand
What is the story behind you that you are collection the bikes that you are collecting?

Funk - Fell in love with one in 1992, didn't have £3000 to buy one - now getting back lost 'childhood'

Pace - Fell in love with one in 1992, didn't have £3000 to buy one - but did in 1997

Rocky Mountain Cirrus - Fell in love with one in 1992, didn't have £3000 to buy one - Bought a Pace instead a few years later - now getting back lost 'childhood'

Cannondale - Fell in love....."......yeah ok, you can see the pattern

Add to that........since being here I now want to build a Singlespeed, I want a Merlin, I want a Yeti, I've found some cool mates to ride with and as of today I want a Surly Pugsley

This place is sooooooooooooooo cool 8)

Ozone - as Neill above really. Fell inlove with a £900 frame hanging from the ceiling in a bike shop in Manchester. Looked at it every time I went there wondering how I could afford it and I never could. Can now though!

I have a passion for Proflexes.

I was riding a MTB hardtail in the 90's to regain my health(overweight and hypertension), but was getting injured almost every week. Almost giving up, I searched out and found a full suspension bike that was my first Proflex, a 97 beast. Coveting the 957, I could not afford that, but it stuck in my mind.

That Proflex kept me riding, and was able to regain my health, drop 20 lbs, all without serious injury for a while. My next Proflex/K2 was an OzM, then 4000, then I finally got my 957, then one for my wife, then an 856LE, then a Proflex Newport, then a 1990 Offroad/Proflex made by Serrota.

I am just amazed by the engineering, simplicity, and workmanship.

Proflex saved me, and I am grateful :D

Quite a cheap thing to do these days mate (compared to back then anyway) :)

I was given a bike to deliver 'things' on ,it was a muddy fox courier light blue with white tyres the rest[about 6 bikes later]is ...as they say history
Currently building a dynatech diablo

clockwork <>stumpjumper <>cannondale <>muddyfox <>Rudge whitworth
and the 1 i had as a kid ,a Raleigh Chipper,
i was showing signs of freeride back then ,jumped a raleigh chipper off a 12 step concrete staircase, landed not too bad ,stayed upright for all of 5 seconds, not sure i'd attempt those stairs again ,looking at it nowadays it's about 12' between levels

I started in 1990 riding with a few mates at Uni up in the Lakes most weekends and we'd always drop by at Bike Treks and oggle the shiny cabinets. Always seemed to be nice bikes around the routes up in the Lakes - Pace was the one I lusted after BITD, but a mate had a Proflex 752 which started off my interest in that make... but since being on this site I have broadened my horizons and pursued avenues I never thought I would (rigid, singlespeed, steel etc!).
