you need to post up some of the funny ones like the dodgy flexstem copy that was made from a flat sheet of metal with a curved piece underneath.

I've got the MBI new technology supplement somewhere with a review of the Hope disc system. I'll try to dig it out and then try even harder to get my retro scanner working. Funny how they used a 6-bolt fitting for the disc back then.....
 
IMHO the best little ad had to be the one for the "banana" that was supposed to rest your chest.
Do you remember this one piece of modern thinking?
If I remember correctly, it attached to the seat tube and provided a cushion between the saddle and stem. Very nice and not dangerous.
Anyone got a pic?
