makes me feel a little bit sad and angry too, they should let him in the Hall of fame, and Mr fisher sounds like a bit of a male chicken

This poor idiot doesn't realise that it's called the mountain biking hall of fame because it's the hall of fame for the sport of mountain biking, not the hall of fame for riding bikes off road. If that was the case then surely every cyclist from 100 years ago would be a pioneer of the sport as there were no real tarmac'ed roads then hence off road.

I do love the fact that the hall of fame nomination was written by him and he then uses that as a reference in his own auction. I've got an old school book that I wrote 'I am skill' on it, therefore i must be skill, it says so here on my old school book.

The bloke is a self-deluding, bitter old man who has realised that life has passed him by and he's got nothing to show for it other than a receding hairline and a paedo-beard, so he digs in his garage and finds a 40 year old bike and then compares himself to the wright brothers-genius!

It'll be listed again, and at the same price again, and again, and again....

I think he makes his point very well eloquently and without bitterness if anything, modified schwinn frame, drum brakes gears, ballon tyres, ridden off road sounds like a clunker to me, and he would fit before Russ Mahon ( who i also feel didnt get the recognition he deserves) in the time line and can evidence this

I can understand too his bitterness or wish for recognition at least, we all wanna make our mark and all that

poor fella, I hope he find happiness

Mountain biking was invented in Marin County. End of. Period. Full stop.

A lot of vested interests, a lot of mythology, a lot of bullsh*t

You stand more chance being inducted into the HOF if you once sold Charlie Kelly a hot dog than if you were doing your thing somewhere else ( or horror of horrors, in another country).

Ask Geoff Apps.
