Jools Holland on earlier, wasn't really watching but had to come in to check out the wicked drumming... not knowing anything about the band, I was surprised to see that it was Jack White. :shock:

Shit, everything that guy does is raw -everything Gallagher isn't.

Got tickets to see them in a couple of weeks....

Am a big fan of the Kills and the White Stripes so very much looking forward to it.

He's just too raw for me, can only deal with 1 or 2 White Stripes songs in a row - been giving the Raconteurs a try, but I'm even toiling with that. Would probably be really good live, but it seems I can't listen to any of his music for long enough to get into it.

Now where did I put that Carpenters CD?

Despite a bit too much showcasing of Jack Whites musicianship (yes we know you are very talented Jack), they pulled off a damn good and very intense show last night.

Alison Mosshart really makes them stand out - pretty much just by doing what she does in the Kills - but it was nice to see a convincing 4 piece
rock band that wasn't ashamed to be a rock band for once.

Still prefer their component parts in their original bands though. The Kills are the best band I've seen for several years TBH.
