The clocks go back this weekend..

On October 31st we'll all dutifully turn our clocks back by one hour, plunging our evenings into premature darkness.

Radio 4 discusses this perennial event by suggesting we go to C.E.T which would be 'double' summer time (2 hours forward, 1 hour back)

I'm all for it, but...

my clock went back last night.

new (used) phone had the wrong date on it. i woke before my alarm (set on phone) and thought, "this is most unusual"

lolled around in the bath for ages browsing retrobike on said phone.

rejoiced in the fact i would have time for a coffee and breakfast before taking the dogs for a lovely stroll.

all was going well untill i entered the kitchen and saw the time on the cooker!!

20 mins late for work!

luckily nothing on first thing.

I wish they'd just leave it either on summer time or winter time and stay that way :evil: Spring is the worst - getting up an hour earlier trying to get kids sorted for school etc. :evil:

Why not leave it at GMT summer start work/school at 8 am, winter start at 9am - it's just a time.

If we go to +1 time in winter in Scotland it will still be dark at 10am.
