My Claud Butler Ernest Chambers designed track bicycle. 4 years ago I rode this on a motorplex 12 hour time trial. Seven PM to 7 AM. The seat brace was missing but you could see where there was one. The stain from it is visible right behind where the new faux one is. I replaced it with a homemade one. I put on an old Universal front brake as it was scary on the fast downhills. The Universal had the right drop. It’s so much better to ride since I added this brake. The fork was already drilled for the brake.

Yeah, very nice event. I only rode the Claud for part of the 12 hours, the hills were nasty on fixed gear.

I remember my parents buying me a bike for passing my 11plus( nobody was more surprised than me). It was a single speed red Raleigh, they couldn’t afford gears. Haven’t a clue what model it was just remember it was red. Eventually I painted it black and put some cow horn bars on it.
