Hi Everybody!

Unfortunatley my 1999 Kona Caldera wasn’t widely received – maybe a little too modern? (http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11032)

Anyhoo, my Peugeot Black Mamba (almost sounds rude) definatley is! Full LX groupset, 531 frame, 3t stem and Peugeot flat bar. Maybe a 90/91?

I bought her a couple of months ago in my LBS – completely original (except saddle) right down to pedals and tyres (front). After a good strip down and clean she was up and running. The owner before was running a 2.3 Conti Gravity on the back! The wheel barely went round!

A few changes – Tyres, handlebar and she is my main commuter – soon to be singlespeeded.

Frame is massive but is surprisingly comfortable even with 100psi tyres!

Hope you enjoy

MArk

Mark,

nice. I bet it's fast in the city. Peugeot should get back into bikes. And get away from hideous fat car designs (IMO) The great era of Peugeot car design being the '05 era (IMO) the 205, 305, 405, 505 etc - do quite like 306's though. But I think that was the last of the good un's.

Sorry, back to bikes...

Nice. Good buy fella.

:)

that is cool. i remember having the catalouge, i almost got one, but had a ridgeback instead.

btw its defo 1990. that was shimano's first year with STI, & 1st gen. STI had a square'd profile to the shifter, 91' had a "molded" feel to them.
