The Best V's

This has probably been gone over again and again...but I can't see a thread.
What are the best V's....and still readily available. Thinking of V's instead of Maguras for my next project...so

Extralite...very nice...very expensive
Steinbach....ditto
KCNC....mmmmm....dunno...not enough meat on the bone?
Avid Ultimate.....HOW MUCH
XTR...very good no doubt..but everyones got them
Paul Components...import from USA? Nice looking...do they perform?

i'd go with avid's for outright performance. my arch rivals kick cable discs where it hurts, in the dry at least

I use XTR's but to be honest the Deores on my wife's bike work equally well...

I ditched a hope disc as I was so impressed with my XTRs

i use deore lx v,s and they haul my fat arse up real well
they aint the best looking brakes in the world tho
i cant see discs stopping me any better (going off my last bike they dont)

Avid Arch Supremes... without a doubt the finest V type brake ever made, they are the bike component equivalent of the Veyron, Avid made a loss on each pair, but they are that good they sold them anyway because they could
