I’m still looking at the very subtle arc on in the paint on the backend that follows the radius of the tyre - so simple and eligant

1991 Alpinestars bikes had stickers on the seat- and chain-stays separating the painted sections from the white center section, which follow the radius of the rear wheel, exactly like this. (It's one way of spotting a repainted Astars frame, becasue hardly anyone re-stickers them properly

I would post a photo of the Scott Pro Evolution I had, but it most certainly was not the "best" retro e-stay frame! It rode ok, but was a bit heavy tbh.
The "best " need not be the most expensive or unobtainable though.
