The 8th gates farts and flying ants aftermath thread

Re: The 8th gates and flying ants aftermath thread

More pics later

So, 2017 saw the 8th re-enactment of the first ever flies, farts and gates ride.

Farts - loud and trumpetty, volumous, one nearly blew Phill77 into the river

Flies - faaaaaasins of 'em!

Gates - still there although some seem to have gone on holiday

Thank you all for coming. It is always a bit humbling to see so many come from so far to enjoy my 'little' ride.

Excellent day out so big thanks to Mark for organising and tea and bacon sandwich. Massive thank you to Longun for the lift. Although the rain hit towards the end it was refreshing. Hopefully we'll do it again next year.

This ride remains on my bucket list...

Its long, flat, gatey and very bumpy. I was using a very supple steel bike that was light enough to chuck over the gates. The pub food was a little posher this year. Their are views that Turner would drop his paint brushes for.
