Got this about a month ago from a local seller on CL, and I've been meaning to share it with the RB community.

Image is 33 inches tall, 24 inches wide, and nicely framed. Seller is a kindred spirit bike hoarder like me, but I don't think he's joined RB (yet).

It looks like a Nishiki Alien ACX, although it could be a Mantis XCR-EC. I'm thinking square-tubed ACX, and lettering on the side looks purposely ambiguous (like a Syd Mead painting) to avoid licensing issues.

Any info would be appreciated. Not for sale.

Thanks. Enjoy!

Someone doesn't know which side the chainset goes
Didn't see that 'til just now!
Perhaps it's another licensing issue? (Can't be an ACX if drive-side is on the left)
It must be one of those Coriolis Effect bikes designed for the southern hemisphere.
I'll try mounting it upside-down in front of a mirror and tell people he's actually pedalling backwards in an attempt to turn back time. :?

Or, it’s an image copied from a magazine picture that had been flipped?
Seller assured me it was a print, i.e., one of a multiple of prints the artist made from the original painting. I'll look closely at the signature to find out if it was done after printing, or if it's part of the print. Either way, somebody obviously made a mistake; either the artist painted it wrong to begin with, or somebody accidentally reversed the image before going to print. BITD I think they used slides for printing, and a slide is easily reversed.
