What do you think? Will you be supporting them? Breathe of fresh air in Pro cycling? Can't say I jumped on the BC track bandwagon but I did lean against it, Dave Brailsford does seem to have the key and hopefully it'll work on the road.

I hope they do well just wish it wasn't a big Sky sponsored thing as the money appears to be overshadowing it. Did however think its was an odd choice for Wiggins to go there as I can't see the team being strong enough in the first couple of years to keep him challenging in the Tour De France. But with Braillsford running it I wouldn't be surprised if I was very wrong. At least you can believe that the team will be clean.

you should never believe a team is clean .

It is good for cycling in the Uk to have such a high vis sponsor . they even talk about cycling on sky sports news .

I think they will do well .

being honest i never really gave a monkies for the track thing or the olympics, i follow the big tours and i like to know who won the classics like paris-roubaix and milan san remo etc

but i'm happy to support them, mainly because it is about time we had a UK team (eventhough most of the riders aren't from the UK) and i don't mind it being sky either, bring as much money as you want i say!

i would have loved to have seen a uk spec-ish bike though, i know it would never happen but imagine it, hope components, middleburn cranks (if the guy ever does get his x type sorted as promised 2 years ago) dolan frames? just think it would have been cool.

Indeed, I was a wee bit wary of the Sky bit but tbh the kits nice and the management and direction of the team seems to be the headline stuff once the dust settled over the signings. Wiggins must have been drawn by Brailsford in fact I wonder how much he had to do with Wiggins' pro career and ultimately the forming of this team .

yeah i do agree the kit they use is nice stuff, pinnarello and dura ace, can't really go wrong, saw a review of the frame just recently in one of the mags, the guy said it was lush.

didn't wiggins and brailsford work together on some of the track stuff? one article i read said it was one single 5minute chat between the 2 guys that made wiggins change team. i do think that brailsford's mission was to get wiggins regardless though - i think they (sky) needed a top british tour contender for people in england to (potentially) pay to view.

I don't think you can under-estimate just how good Brailsford is at putting the right people in position behind the scenes as much as the riders.

being Uk based I hope they do well, but I'm not impressed with the way brailsford poached wiggo and swift. (and credit to Cav for honouring his contract). I really hope that the dischuffed DS's dont conspire to work against the "unethical" upstarts. And i really hope our local Russ isnt made to suffer for some dubious business methods.

Think the other DS's may have thicker skin but you never know. It was interesting with the contract stuff, even though they have the touchy feely bit they'll still get what they want and do what it takes  Definitley showed a hard side.
