If he runs a second hand shop and bought this off a customer without knowing what it was, surely it's inconceivable that he can have given more than £100 for it?

I can confirm this "little second hand shop"..about 1.5 miles from city centre

also spoke to the seller & knew how much he paid for it :shock:
but i wont say how much because the new owner is on this site & all the best to him.

Brilliant value, that frame is the best I have ever ridden ,its a painted version of the nickel plated team issue i used to race. A long 23" top tube too its way better than an Explosif.
I hope I dont need to do too much to it but I have been looking for a team or team issue since march and they are all gone.
People on here dont rate Marins but I dont care about that I think they rock.
My recent Rocky rebuild cost me at least £900 so if this one is anywhere near decent its a bargain.
I will post some pics up when it arrives
