TalkTalk broadband, any users

our experience with TT was very bad - kept billing us for 8 months after we'd gone over to combined sky tv/ phone/ bb
As soon as you leave someone, you cancel the direct debit - immediately. So easy these days with online banking. Simples!

Thanks for all the feedback, seems all companies are the same when it comes to problems, and since we moved 18months ago BT haven't really shone tbh, yet couldn't fault them at the old address.

All companies are very definitely NOT the same when it comes to technical support, and especially ISPs... TalkTalk (consumer/home broadband) are probably the very worst of the main options, truly, hair pullingly, head bashingly awful. My job means I have to spend quite a lot of time on the phone to all sorts of ISPs and my heart really sinks when I find that's it's going to be a TalkTalk call. In fact usually the call turns out to be hours and hours of infuriatingly pointless going round and round in circles...

On the other hand, TalkTalk Business is actually a completely different story and in fact I'm a customer of theirs (didn't start out that way but my ISP was bought over multiple times and ended up as TalkTalk Business.)

It's a general truth that a business broadband account gets you customer service and a home broadband account more often than not gets you a very ignorant person a long way away on a poor quality VOIP line whose first language is not English and who knows absolutely nothing about IT in general and broadband in particular - many of them even struggle to follow the script, never mind use their own initiative.

On the odd occasion I've had a fault on my own line the whole thing has been dealt with in a completely stress and hassle free manner and my business broaband account is actually cheaper than a lot of people pay for an ordinary "home" account...
