I have a Syncros stem with a riser bar in it, I want to sell it, but I can't get the bar out of the stem without damaging it.
Any ideas??

Have you tried reversing the screws, and putting a coin in the normal opening for bolt to press against while screwing? Should work ok on Syncros, as long as not blind bolt holes

Edit, crossed posts with Gump, leave it in for the Dutch translation.

Sell them as a set?

Succes!

I tried that,
but I opened the clamp even s far that the paint almost came of, but the riser is really tight, it can't make the curve

Thanks for all the tips, but the problem is.. it just can make the curve, it is too tight.
But it also came in.. how did they do that???

You have probably already tried this but in addition to the coin trick perhaps also rotate the bars, in a similar way to fitting road bars in traditional stems. As you say, it went in so must come out and if the bar is not marked on the bend it probably means it didn't get stuck and need an unreasonable degree of force.

BAsed on the premise that if it went in it must come out too, the devil must be in the detail so just some more thoughts:

Do align the bend in the riser with the maxiumum opening orientation in the stem clamp, it will be oval not round.

How about using just one bolt only to force the clamp open unevenly and create an angled opening? (like a funnel)

Good luck!
