bump in the form of an inquirey.
are there some sort of threaded holes in side of fork legs
near the drop outs for racks maybe?
never seen that on one of these before.
is it a threaded insert? or just a taped hole?
does it look professionally done? or DIY?
how about close up a side shot of it with screw out.

I was told by a fellow member that these are rare powerlite that have rack mounts. I had one person today tell me that the screws held the dropouts in place.

The threaded holes and associated bolts are NOT for holding the dropouts in place. They are for mounting a front pannier rack for touring.

yep, rack mounts. not very common, 2nd set i've seen. the set i own being the first.
