Syncros Hang Doggy, 1-1/8", would like to trade for 1-1/4"

Hi all.

Bit of a long shot, I purchased a Syncros Hang Doggy from someone about a year or so back (thought it was here, but can't find the PM's, c'est la vie...). It is store-tagged as a 1-1-8" but, it won't fit over a 1-1/8" steerer tube, so I'm guessing it's for a 1" fork.

I'd love to trade for an 1-1/8" one.

The Hang Doggy is sized to clamp to the stem quill, rather than over the steerer. A 1 1/8" steerer has a 1" bore, and that's the size you've bought. If you want one to fit over a 1 1/8" steerer, you need to look for the 1 1/4" version.

Ah, so any attempt to fit it to an Ahead style setup is fraught with peril...

Perhaps I should sell it to someone with a clue

No peril - you just need to upsize.

I ran the size you've got on a 1" Ahead steerer without any problems.
