Swap steerer on Marzocchi Marathon SL 2004 ?

Hi, I have a good pair of these sat in the garage, that I really like but is it possible that the steerer in these could be swapped from the 1 1/8 thats in it to a 1" some how so that they would fit a retro ride?

I haven't double checked the Marathons yet, but i have seen forks like manitou where there appears to be a "O" ring underneath the steerer that may suggest the steerer is pressed in and could be swapped? and if it is possible to do this, where on earth am i likely to find as suitable 1" steerer to use.

I think i know what the answer is but thought i'd ask anyway...

yes you have to buy a whoel steerer and stantion bit if you contact windwave the marzocchi distributer they may have some left. part numebr 1” AH (part no. 9076325S)

Check their website in the tech q/a area as i recall.
