Phew finally... Given that JV got flamed for asking £300 for a Prestige with Bullseyes etc, I'm finding it hard to understand how Clockworks with lower spec are going up for sale at £550 plus. If people are paying these prices, they're seriously not doing their homework. A Clockwork with XT was less than £700 when it was brand new wasn't it?

Its not so much that I don't get the Clockwork thing, I've owned three Prestiges in my MTBing life and Orange make nice bikes, but to think that a 15yr old Clockwork with XT is worth nearly £700 is just madness. If he did spend that much building this bike, then he seriously overpaid on a number of components.

So you reckon the Prestiges back in the early naughties were good stuff then ? I have looked from time to time but not come across one !! I settled for an Alu Elite in the end which im still yet to build up !!

Well, ironically no actually. Although I hanker after another one now, its purely for sentimental reasons. I remember BITD moaning profusely about my Prestige. The seat clamp slot was at the back (stupid for a bike supposedly designed for UK conditions) and the mud clearance was poor.

why don't you boys start a thread in the proper place (I like the topic BTW), I know that CK is getting free bumps but I'm sure no-one wants to have their for sale post hijacked and prices questioned. If the price is a good one it will sell if not it won't, simple as.
