swap a DR350 for a Bandit? got the replacement!

Insurance policies here are pro-rated, especially so on motorcycles, as they're seasonal. I'd assume they are there too. eg: cancel in the first month and you would get back perhaps 50% of the policy cost. Cancel in month 11, and you would get 50p back.......maybe.

I have more motorised bikes than bicycles, in terms of road worthy ones.

I just fell in love with the Kawasaki W650, got my leg over a pal's.

Hard to see me pushing the button on anything until spring though.

:)

swapping the bikes on wednesday morning, hopefully it will be dry then i can go for a full on blast! :D

They are great handling bikes, you will have a ton more grip, does it have decent rubber on it?

I love my old F650, it has trailie feel and takes the harsher/corrugated roads well, but is quick and agile like a mid range sports bike. Heavy though, but you never notice that on the move, only when you try to go off road on it!

I would have kept the other bike if it was for up here in winter, but you tend to get slightly milder weather.

You won't catch me riding on road over winter, only to get to a trail. Too many drivers who haven't a clue out there.

:)

got the bike this morning, all was well until i showed it to a friend about 1/2 an hour after i got it.

"It's cracked you t**t!"

   :( :(

phoned the guy straight away, he has agreed to have it back although he's pissed off (as you'd expect). i don't think he knew it was cracked at the moment but he did know it has been welded before. something he didn't mention.

basically it's been used as a wheelie machine, so it's had a lot of hard impacts.

although he does still want my DR, so he's buying it instead and i have found another Bandit in Bournemouth i am going to look at, black, undertray is already done and has a hugger on the back wheel, 2 things that i wanted to do myself and it's the same money, a grand and it's a 98 so it's one year newer.

lucky escape

Thanks to whoever it is that you stayed safe man.

That is a nightmare.

Turned out alright if you made the coin you wanted on the DR, and of course you will never have a problem finding a decent bandit.

:)
