I finally finished building my Salsa last night and came to the rather annoying realisation that it is indeed too big for me. It had been touch and go with the rigid forks fitted, but with the 100mm REBA's on, I have no standover clearance at all.

It is a size 19" I believe and looks very pretty indeed, aside from a bit of cable rub and a few small chips. It is built of Reynolds 853 and is a superb ride and a really good quality frame with bontrager style gussets and mudguard mounts etc. It has disc and Canti/v mounts, but the latter can be removed if necessary. Its in superb condition and looks awesome in its bright red paint. See below:

It builds up into a lovely machine and I am genuinely upset that it has turned out this way.

I am initially looking to swap the frame for something a little smaller (frame only) and can include the Salsa Cro moto forks if necessary and the WTB Momentum Grease Guard headset and Salsa Seatclamp will be included. Ideally I would like a Cotic Soul in Medium, but I am open to all offers in size 17" or 18" as long as it has disc mounts and can handle a 100mm REBA!

Whats out there guys?

Thanks

I'm sorry mate, it has cost me a lot recently and would much prefer to swap the frame and transfer the kit over to a smaller one. I've recently spent £300 on the brakes, £120 on stem and seatpost and £350 on some REBA RLT ti forks for it so selling it complete would probably loose me a lot of cash very quickly!

1998 Kona Kilauea, or 1999 Kona Explosif, both 18"? Have P2s for both also.

Let me know?

Thanks mate but It needs to have disc mounts so I can transfer the brakes over.... I will amend the ad mate. Thank you for the offer bud!

No probs fella,

thought I'd ask cos I have a few noughts in the account..

Out of interest, what tyres are they? and would you even consider selling the F+F (rigids) on their own?

what are those tyres? looks awesome by the way, damn shame you have to sell it - good luck!

Thanks mate, I was so pleased with how it had turned out, I'm truly gutted it has to go. I won't sell unless I don't get a suitable swap though. Tyres are Onza Aggro amberwalls, I put them on as I have loads in my future proof stash and no modern ones but agree that they look great!
