Suspension Stems

Afternoon all,

My LBS has some anodized (?) suspension stems in their shop for £15. I've never seen or heard of them before. (name escapes me now)

They seem to be springless and quite angular but have a small oil damper for the movement? Certainly not flex stem like :?

Anybody come across anything like this?

honestly,....i do not know,..i have one but have not used it.
Back in the years i had a girvin flexstem and that was comfortable
