:( AAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH This making me want to through the frame in the pond!.

So I want to work on the BB pivot point of my suspension frame.

Problem is One bolt turns clockwise over turns anti clockwise.

So I can take one bolt of no problem but I cant get both out, I have to tighten one to loosen the other. Which then remains locked in the pivot point which rotates.

ARRRRRGGGGHHH HELP HELP.. Soon if not helped I will use the hammer chainsaw method,/ Half Kula ^^

Further explanation needed, my head hurts as I wave arms around trying to visualise two bolts that loosen in opposite direction, people are looking at me

Are the bolts on opposite sides of the pivot threaded to each other or are they threaded to a shell like a BB. Pictures might be useful too

Hopefully someone knows what your up against and can help

Yes bolts on opposite sides of pivot

Hi Velomanic, yes the bolts are on opposite sides of the pivot point, I have to tighten one to untighten the other. Once I have one bolt out the pivot point just spins around so I cant get the other bolt out.

I then tried putting said opposite bolt in and tightening, and was able to get said bolt out of one side of pivot, but now the other bolt is stuck.

This would be ok if I just wanted to change the bolts, but ideally I want to service the pivot e.g. grease it etc.

Im sure there must be others that have had this dilemma!. Who designs these bloody things

It has something to do with drop handlebars .

I think the way the bolts unscrew on the pivot are the same on my specialized FSR frame. e.g. the bolt on one side undoes clockwise and on the otherside anticlockwise.

Are you using 2 allen keys at the same time ? one might be screwing into the other as velo said .

Undo one side a bit and then tap it to push the whole thing through .

Ive done the oneside thing, tapping it quite hard but although it spins round smoothly doesnt appear to want to tap out..if that makes sense..
