Hi, new member here so apologies if this has been asked before or if this is in the wrong place. I have owned, from new, a 1996 Bontrager Privateer which I'm currently rekindling my love affair with after a few years off. Advancing years (for us both) has got me thinking about a bit more comfort I.e. Adding front suspension. Anyone have any advice on this, I understand my Bonty has a 1" threaded steerer which will make sourcing something pretty difficult. I would ideally love something like a Pace rc35 or Rc36 is this an option?

You could also look at Rock Shox Judy SL or Xc models. You need to watch out for having too much travel (like modern forks) that will knacker how lovely a ride your Bonty is.
