I think the pièce de résistance is a rear suspension unit you bolted on.

I can't remember the name if it, it was early to mid 90's(might be older)

2 big spring shocks and you bolted the mechanism onto your chain and seat stays.
I saw it in one of the better more custom MTB shops that have sadly now mostly departed us. Seem to have a memory that it was a pricey piece of kit, possibly 300 or 400 quid.
