Suntour alpha5000 - double or triple chainset?

Hello everyone,

Is the Suntour a5000 front derailleur suitable for a 2x setup or a 3x? Or are there different versions of it?

I have no personal experience with that particular FD, but judging by the picture of this Kuwahara, I'd say it will cover the width of a triple.

FWIW, all derailleurs I have tried could, as long as I didn't use a too long spindle.

It'll probably work with both, depends on the year but anything Suntour with 'GX' stamped on the back will work with a triple.
