bike minus wheels has just arrived courtesy of @jimo746 , thanks.
It is a humble Townsend 15 speed, no other name, and it is going to be transformed into my new favourite fast commuter ebike, due to its slack retro angles and plenty of fat tyre clearance.
It came with some nice looking bullmoose bars, unbranded and a full SR gearset, sunrace SR roots. Now I presume this was a budget setup, but the thumbshifters are actually quite nice, a really nice action.
Has anyone encountered these before? Any idea of the year of these? The style of the bike says late 80's to me?
