Sunn cycles Traff

Hi all,

Trying to get some info and a valuation for something we’ve got in the workshop atm. It’s a Sunn cycles Traff, can’t find much about it online Except at the following link:

Really nice chrome frame with an intergrated rack, 4 speed nexus rear hub and a really cool little front basket.

Cool, but hard to value I'd say. Probably worth as much to someone who wants a practical town bike as it might be to a Sunn collector/nerd...

I think these were built as a shopping bike or like a bit of a Boris Bike idea, except they were available to buy - would have cost you 2990F back in 1998. I think they are hard to value as they are pretty rare (I've only ever seen a few come up for sale) but probably a limited market for them. I have one that I think I paid 250 Euros for, which was almost certainly too much (based on the comments of the friend who helped me buy it from France and others I have seen for sale) but it was a "make an offer" advert and I wanted to make sure I got it as it was in pretty good condition and complete. Theres a matching his and hers set thats been for sale for nearly a month at 300 Euros with no takers so far here.
Yours is the ladies version and its missing a few things like the chain guard, mud guards and top tube (and maybe headtube) sticker and some original parts like the saddle, basket, bars and grips. On the plus side the chrome finish looks in remarkably good condition. Ebay might be a good bet, and maybe offer shipping to France to maximise the interest?
